Meet the StageDoorLouisville Writers!
Kate Barry
Kate Barry loves theatre and writing about it too. She is glad you are here! Kate has worked with Kentucky Shakespeare Festival, Bunbury Theater, JCC CentersStage, Louisville Repertory Company, Walden Theater (now StageOne), Finnegan Productions, just to name a few. She has a BA in English from Bellarmine University where she studied theatre as well. Her writing has appeared in LEOWeekly, Arts-Louisville, TheateLouisville and Audience Magazine. In 2012, her short play PlayList won festival favorite in the Finnigan Festival of Funky Fresh Fun. Her play Catcher Released won an honorable mention with the Kentucky Playwrights Workshop in 2022. She runs this operation as Creator/Editor although she likes to think of it as a collaboration... Oh and she's a yoga teacher!

Brian also maintains the blog LouBriantheater, which posts the theatre shows going on every weekend. When not writing or acting, he can be found on a path somewhere running or helping to put on running events throughout Kentuckiana.
Lan Nguyen-Colgate
Lan Nguyen-Colgate is a passionate lover of and advocate for arts and culture. She’s one of those “eat, sleep, and breathe art” kind of people, so you’ll find her at nearly every arts event in town. She graduated from the University of Louisville and will be the first to tell you “what do you do with a BA in English.” She has performed with the University of Louisville, Suspend Productions, and Cirque Louis.
Outside the theatre, you will often find Lan with her nose in a book eating bagels, drinking coffee or tea. She takes lessons in aerial arts at Suspend Louisville—focusing on lyra and rope. For her daytime job, she works as a fundraiser for a large arts organization. She lives in Louisville with her husband, kid, and two cats.
Erin Hargan
Erin Hargan is a lifelong Louisvillian, a teacher, and holds degrees in English and Special Education. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new places in Louisville, reading, and spending time with her dog. A longtime supporter of the arts, she admires the dedication it takes to bring a theater production to life and believes that live theater should be welcoming and inclusive for everyone.
